Tao Zhang is the founding Chairman and CEO of Meituan Dianping, a leading Internet company and the dominant local platform in China.  Before Meituan Dianping, Tao was the founder of Dianping and served as its CEO and Chairman from 2003 to 2015. He previously held positions in American Management Systems, a US-based IT consulting firm.  Tao holds an MBA degree from the Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from DePauw University.
